Apigee HealthAPIx 2.0 is a solution for interoperability and security of patient data. It supports an open and standardized format called Fast Health Interoperability Resources (FHIR®). Standards compliant access to healthcare data can be offered through Apigee platform combined with the Google Cloud Healthcare APIs (CHC API). HealthAPIx solution comes with two components, Apigee platform and HealthAPIx Developer Portal. 

The Apigee platform implements the API management policies. The Apigee gateway layer is composed of proxies to provide API security, SMART, OAuth, caching, re-usable shared logic and other API management features.

HealthAPIx Developer Portal accelerates the adoption of APIs by enabling application developers to discover APIs, view documentation and try the APIs before committing them into their applications. HealthAPIx provides pre-built interoperability APIs with supporting openAPI documentation.
